FROM THE PRESIDENT
Sir Ivor Roberts KCMG MA
As Chairman of the King’s College School Council I am very pleased that King’s College, The British School of Panama will open its doors later this year.
King’s College has a long and successful history of managing schools in Spain and the UK. I know Vanessa Whay and her team, with the support of King’s Group will build upon all this experience to make the launch of the new school a great success.
As a parent you will be looking for a number of qualities in a school: high expectations of your children, teachers who are truly enthusiastic about their subjects and a Headteacher with experience of leadership and a clear vision for the school’s future. I have no doubt that you will find all these things and more at King’s College, Panama. All of the schools that make up King’s Group display the same attention to detail, the same passion for education and they all demand the very best behaviour and hard work from their pupils.
Panama is entering an exciting and dynamic phase of development. The importance of an excellent education for all children in the country cannot be underestimated. As well as opening a school in Clayton, King’s Group will also be training school teachers in the latest theory and best practice from schools and colleges in Britain. This makes this whole project particularly special and could be an interesting model for other countries to adopt.
I think that you will agree that choosing a school for your child becomes much, much easier when King’s College opens a school in your city.
